Podcasting: I am applying new technologies in podcasting, including Adobe Audition for advanced audio editing and Audacity for open-source sound management. I also integrate AI tools to enhance audio quality, automate transcription, and streamline content creation. My podcasts are also distributed on platforms like Spotify to reach a broader audience effectively.
Broadcasting: I produced TV news for the Climate Visual Communication project, using Adobe Creative Suite to tell compelling climate change stories. I’ve directed documentaries, incorporated OBS software for dynamic footage, and integrated applied AI into my broadcast teaching to explore immersive and interactive media. As a broadcast journalist, I’ve also worked on documentaries about the Vietnam War and its reconciliation process, widely broadcast on Vietnam Television to promote healing. My aim is to equip students with the latest tools to excel in today’s evolving media landscape.
The Climate Visual Communication project at KU produced seven videos, each addressing key aspects of climate change in Kansas. Topics include the impact of rising temperatures on agriculture, the effects of severe weather on communities, climate-related health risks, water quality, and the role of urban planning in mitigating environmental damage.
I have integrated applied AI into my lessons by generating AI-driven videos to teach Adobe Creative Suite as part of my broadcasting visualization class. These showcase videos offer students immersive, interactive examples, enabling them to master media production tools and techniques in real-world broadcasting scenarios.
I have actively contributed to producing, interpreting, and finalizing several documentaries related to the Vietnam War and its reconciliation process.
